Key Inconel Grades

Grade Common Name Key Advantage Best Application
X-750 Inconel X-750 Creep Resistance. Maintains height and force for years at high heat. High-Temp Springs, nuclear reactors, gas turbines.
718 Inconel 718 Max Strength. The strongest of the common Inconels; excellent fatigue life. Jet engines, rocket motors, high-pressure oil valves.
625 Inconel 625 Corrosion King. Virtually immune to saltwater and aggressive acids. Marine hardware, chemical processing, exhaust systems.
600 Inconel 600 Heat Stability. Resistant to oxidation at very high temperatures (up to 1100°C). Furnace components, heat exchangers, chemical stills.

Spring Steel Grade Comparison Table

Material Grade Type Key Advantages Top Application
EN 47 (50crv4) Alloy (Cr-V) Extreme Toughness: High shock absorption and impact resistance. Heavy vehicles, mining screens, agricultural machinery.
SAE 9254 Alloy (Si-Cr) Fatigue Master: Best resistance to "sagging" and high-frequency cycling. Engine valve springs, racing suspension, high-stress coils.
EN 42 High Carbon Precision & Cost: Excellent shape memory for flat parts; highly economical. Clutch plates, washers, saw blades, small clips.
IS 4454 Gr 3 Carbon Wire Dynamic Duty: High tensile strength; built for high-stress repetitive loads. Automotive suspension, shock absorbers, brake springs.
IS 4454 Gr 2 Carbon Wire Moderate Duty: Reliable performance for mid-range cyclic loading. Industrial machinery springs, furniture coils, torsion bars.
